Room by Room - Entry

I've gotten a bit of flack from some of our friends who've been wondering, "So what's up with the house? What's the final product look like????"

Well, I like to think every home is a work in progress, even after you're all moved in, things are unpacked, artwork is up, etc. - not to say that we've even finished doing those things!

With that as a caveat, I'll try to provide a quick tour through most of the house. First stop, the Entry.

The entry is small, only 4 1/2 ft wide by 10' long. I love red and have always wanted a red room. This was a good place to take the plunge; plus red paneling would give me the farmhouse/barnyard look I wanted. I'm now looking for some artwork with green in it to contrast with the red, maybe some framed fern leaf prints?

Entry: Wall paint: Garrison Red (HC-66); Trim/Ceiling paint: Simply White (OC-117)both by Benjamin Moore; Moravian Star Light Fixture: eBay; Flooring: Kahrs Houston 2-strip, engineered oak hardwood; Mounted antlers: Family memento.

Come on, is that really Pierce and Phoebe? It looks like a Pottery Barn ad!! Makes my diy paint job look a bit shabby. :0

Waitin' for the rest of the "room by room"!

Talk soon?
